What is the difference between Type A, B, and C inspection bodies?
Type A inspection bodies (like General Survey) are completely independent and provide inspection services to all parties. Type B bodies are separate parts of an organization inspecting their parent organization. Type C bodies are involved in design, manufacture, or supply of inspected items. Type A offers the highest level of independence and impartiality.
